About the Queens

ARLETTE GOMEZ

Arlette was born in Orange Walk Town, her family moved a lot because her father was a Public Health Inspector, and her mother was a teacher. At the age of 5 her family moved and settled in Belize City. She attended Queen’s Square Anglican Primary School, St, Hilda’s College, Belize Technical College and the University of the West Indies.

Her professional career spans many fields. She has worked in administration, telecommunications, Sales and Marketing and in the Diplomatic Corp. She was the Public Relations Officer and Personal assistant to the Ministers of Education and Foreign Affairs. She felt that she found her niche at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in addition to being the PR Officer and Personal Assistant to the Minister she also worked with the Protocol Unit to plan and coordinate regional and international meetings. She was a diplomat four years at the Belize Embassy in Washington DC. Arlette is presently a partner in Travel & Events Guru in Belize City. She is also the country manager for an international musician. She is also a Lupus Warrior and the President of the Lupus and RA Association of Belize. She is the host of the AG Hour on a Youtube show call See Smoke Variety Show.

Arlette loves all things cultural and have participated in Belize’s Carnival Road for many years. She is active in promoting events and assisting with the Battle of the Drums Festival in Punta Gorda. She is active in her church as served in the role as Youth Director in the early 2000s. Her hobbies are reading, dancing and travelling.

She is a mother of two and a grandmother of three.


RONDINE BOUDREAUX

Rondine was born in Belize City, Belize and moved to Ottowa, Canada as a toddler with her parents and brother in accompanying her father on an enginerring scholarship. As a preteen Rondine and her family returned to Belize where she attended All Saints Anglican Primary School, St. Hilda’s College and Belize Technical College. Rondine continued her adult education at Loyola University in New Orleans and Chamberlain University.

Rondine is a 26 year United States Army Nurse Corps Veteran retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Her military travels took her to Germany, Africa, many areas within the states and spans various fields as a Secret Clearance Manager, Assistant Chief-Nurse of the 4010th United States Army Hospital (USAH), Company Commander – 75th Combat Support Hospital (CSH), Army Medical Department Professional Management Command (APMC) Medical Readiness Chief, and 377th Theather Sustainment Command (TSC) Medical Readiness Officer, and Deputy OIC, Command Sugeron. Her military education includes Army Combat Operations, Command General Staff College, Strategic Military Operations, and Military and Strategic Leadership. Rondine’s nursing career spans various fields from medical-surgical nursing, OB-GYN, Pediatrics, Pre & Post Operative Services, Intensive Care, Cardiac Care, Burn Care, Open-Heart surgery, Neurology, General Surgery, Emergency, Trauma to Executive Nurse Leadership.

Post military retiremnt, Rondine joined the Veteran’s Health Administration at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Heatlh Care System (SLVHCS), New Orleans as the Post-9/11 Case Management Program Nurse Manager; where she provides administrative and clinical leadership to improve the delivery of health care to Veterans in support of SLVHCS mission and vision.

In 2016, Rondine was an honoree as one of the Great 100 Nurses in Louisiana for her dedicated working efforts with Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) Veterans SLVHCS. In 2018, Rondine was an honoree of the Celebration of Women, as well as an honoree of the Constable Baton Rouge, Louisiana for her work in community advocacy. Her professional nursing affiliations include Sigma Theta Tau, Louisiana State Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Baton Rouge District Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association.


NANCY MORA

Nancy was born in Belize City, Belize, and received her early education at St. John the Baptist Anglican School. Growing up, she and her sisters divided their time between San Ignacio, Cayo, where they were nurtured by their grandmother, a proud Mayan woman, and Belize City, where they lived with their parents. Her father, an inspector in the Belize Police Department, was frequently stationed in various regions across Belize, allowing the family to experience diverse communities. One of Nancy's fondest memories is of their time in Punta Gorda during her father's assignments, which left a lasting impression on her.

After relocating to the United States, Nancy continued to broaden her horizons, living in vibrant cities such as Chicago, Portland, Oregon, Miami, Florida, and various locations in Hawaii, including the Big Island and Oahu, as well as Los Angeles, California. An avid reader and aspiring author, she is deeply passionate about her Belizean heritage. Nancy is committed to making real estate more accessible for Belizeans and aims to inspire those living abroad to return to their beloved homeland, often referred to as "the Jewel."

Through her efforts, she seeks to foster a stronger connection between Belizeans and their roots while promoting opportunities for growth and development within the community.


EVALEE SKEEN ENGLETON

Evalee Skeen Engleton was born in Belize City and is the eldest of three children. She began her education at Grace Primary School, continued at Belize Junior Secondary School No. 2 (now Gwen Lizarraga High School), and later attended St. Catherine Academy. Her academic journey continued abroad, where she earned a certificate in Business Administration from the United School of Business in California. She also holds a certificate in Social Work from the University of the West Indies Open Campus in Belize City.

Evalee is married and a proud mother of three daughters and grandmother to two grandsons. She currently serves as an Administrative Secretary and has long been associated with the Anglican Diocese of Belize, both professionally and as a dedicated member of the church.

Through her efforts, she seeks to foster a stronger connection between Belizeans and their roots while promoting opportunities for growth and development within the community. Her passion for community service spans decades. Evalee is a well-known carnival connoisseur with over 40 years of involvement in Belizean cultural expression. She was an original member of Belize Women for Cultural Preservation, which later became C-JAMM Mas Band and eventually evolved into Erotic Mas Band.

A fiercely patriotic Belizean, Evalee has been the Chairperson of the St. George's Caye Day Society for the past 10 years. She has also served as a member of the National Celebrations Commission, was the Belize Liaison for Miss Universe Belize for four years, and was a dedicated member of the Queen of the Bay Committee. Additionally, she is an active member of the Concerned Women Organization, which organizes the Miss African Queen and Junior Miss Belize pageants. Evalee is known for her exceptional skills in logistics, honed over many years of experience. Her strong sense of service, leadership, and love for Belize continue to make her a respected figure in both her community and the country at large.
